Went to a camp once and we had a great, fresh salsa, I just had to get the recipe but I forgot to ask if this could be canned, but I'm guessing it probably can.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ripe tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2-4 - fresh serrano, habanero or jalepeno peppers, seeded, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh, cilantro, snipped (optional: my hubby doesn't like cilantro)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced (optional: my mom prefers to leave the garlic out)

How To Make salsa

  • Step 1
    In a bowl, stir together all ingredients.
  • Step 2
    Chill anywhere from 4 to 48 hours.
