Delicious without the fuss of stuffing and frying whole jalapenos! I made this recipe after having it at a party then going home and putting it together with what I thought was in the recipe. It turned out pretty darned good. Also my picture.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2-3 ounces green chilies
  • 3-4 ounces chopped jalapeno
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1-2 tablespoon melted butter
  • - tortilla chips or broiled french bread

How To Make popper dip-annette's

  • Step 1
Mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, green chilies, jalapenos and 1/2 the Parmesan cheese. Once smooth, mix remaining Parmesan, melted butter and bread crumbs. Sprinkle on top.
  • Step 2
Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes.
  • Step 3
May be served with tortilla chips or broiled French bread (just enough to make it crisp yet soft). Enjoy!
  • Step 4
****As Dawn Whitted reminded me. If you are one who adds bacon wrapped around your poppers when you grill them as she and I do, fry up some bacon crisp and crumble it and either add it to the top of the cheese layer under the bread crumbs or mix it right into the cream cheese mixture. I have even used Maple flavored bacon before and it was awesome!****
