I first tried this with the wonderful open hearth baked bread at Romano's Macaroni Grill Restaurant. I fell in love with it then and there. I make it at home every time we bring home a good loaf of bread.
Dip and Enjoy!

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

1/2 c
olive oil, extra virgin
approx 2-3 Tbsp
good balsamic vinegar, more or less to desired taste.
1/4 c
fresh grated parmesan cheese, more if desired
1/4 tsp
fresh cracked pepper
1/4 tsp
kosher salt

YOU CAN ADD ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS, IF DESIRED TO TASTE

chopped sun dried tomatoes
chopped fresh or dried basil or a spoon of pesto
roasted garlic cloves or raw if desired

How to Make Italian Dipping Sauce for Bread (We call it Italian Butter)

Step-by-Step

  • 1Pour Olive oil on dinner plate. Add balsamic, pepper and parmesan cheese. Stir all together, taste and adjust flavors as desired. Serve with good crusty Italian or sourdough bread. Dip & Enjoy!
