Imade this for a football game one time and everyone loved it! Such wonderful flavors and so healthy for you! I serve w/ baked tortilla chips and sour cream.

Ingredients

16 oz cans black beans, drained
1
8 oz jar picante sauce, divided
1 tsp
canola oil
1
onion, finely chopped
1
red bell pepper, finely chopped
3 tsp
minced garlic
2 tsp
ground cumin
3/4 tsp
salt
1/2 c
reduced-fat, shredded cheddar cheese
1 large
tomato, chopped

How to Make Healthy black bean dip

Step-by-Step

  • 1In blender, combine 1 can black beans and 1/4 cup picante sauce. Blend until smooth. In lg skillet, over medium heat, Heat oil. Add onion, red bell pepper and garlic. Saute until onion is soft.
  • 2Add pureed bean mix to skillet, along w/ cumin, salt and remaining beans and picante sauce. Mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low.
  • 3Simmer for 5 mins, stirring occasionally. Pour dip into serving bowl. Serve w/ baked tortilla chips and light sour cream
