I was looking for a fruit dip recipe and this one sounded so refreshing. It's originally a Paula Deen recipe, so I knew I couldn't go wrong! I made a couple of small changes to personalize it. Judging from the reaction of my family, this one will be requested at all family get-togethers. I wasn't able to get any pictures this time around 'cause the dip and fruit tray were devoured before I could react! But, that's probably actually a good thing.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1 c
    whipping cream
  • 1/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1
    lemon, juiced and zested

How to Make French Fruit Dip

Step-by-Step

  1. Soften cream cheese and then whip with powdered sugar.
  2. Whip cream and sugar together until it forms soft peaks.
  3. Combine beaten cream cheese, whipped cream, lemon juice and zest.

I suggest sampling the dip after adding the juice from one-half lemon. Add more to taste.

If the dip needs to be thinned down add some pineapple juice.
  4. Serve with fresh fruit or fruit salad.
