  • 1 tsp
    crushed red pepper
  • 1 tsp
    ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1 tsp
    dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp
    dried basil
  • 1 tsp
    dried parsley
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 1 tsp
    kosher salt
  • ·
    olive oil to taste (i use approx. 1 cup)
  • ·
    balsamic vinegar (splash)

How to Make Famous Italian Restaurant Dipping Oil


  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl except olive oil. Whisk in olive oil until it reaches the olive oil to spice ratio that you like. (Some like more, some less. I use about 1 cup.) Pour into small, shallow oil dipping bowls and add a few drops of balsamic vinegar to each. Serve with warm Italian bread.
