Dip Essentials: Hot Cream Cheese & Blue Cheese Dip

This is a wonderful dip for veggies, crackers, and especially some good chicken wings. If you are into football parties or tailgating, this recipe should be on your rotation.

I serve this to my writing club, and no matter how much I make, it’s always gone by the end of the evening.

So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

  • 4 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 2 clove
    garlic, baked
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt, kosher variety, or to taste
  • 2 Tbsp
    heavy or whipping cream
  • 2 Tbsp
    mayonnaise, or vegeanaise
  • 1/2 tsp
    hot sauce (i like frank’s)
  • 1 pinch
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch
  • ·
    black pepper, freshly ground, to taste
  • 2 oz
    blue cheese, crumbled, or you could use goat cheese

How to Make Dip Essentials: Hot Cream Cheese & Blue Cheese Dip


  2. Gather Your Ingredients.
  3. Add all the ingredients, except the blue cheese (or goat cheese) to the bowl of a food processor.
  4. If you are new to baking garlic, here is a good recipe to use:

  5. Process until completely smooth.
  6. Add the contents of the food processor to a small pan over medium-low heat.
  7. Slowly bring up to a simmer, and then fold in the blue cheese (or goat cheese).
  8. Chef's Note: Do a final testing for seasoning (hot sauce, salt, pepper).
  10. Add to a bowl and serve with some nice chicken wings, celery, or whatever else you choose to dip. Enjoy.
  11. Keep the faith, and keep cooking.
