This is a great dip for your holiday table, and can be made several days in advance. I call this a holiday dip, because I make it a lot during the holidays; however, you can make this dip any old time of the year. Your guests will love it. So, add a bit more feta, or less... add more lemon juice, or less. That's what makes this dip so versatile. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

Ingredients

  • PLAN/PURCHASE
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 ounces feta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons sweet butter, room temperature
  • 1 clove baked garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper, freshly ground
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • OPTIONAL ITEMS
  • - chopped nuts (i like pistachios) for a garnish

    PREP/PREPARE
  • Step 2
    Gather your Ingredients (mise en place).
  • Step 3
    Chef’s Tip: Feta is a salty cheese, if you choose to leave it out, then add about 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the recipe before mixing.
  • Step 4
    Chuck all the ingredients into a food processor, fitted with an S-blade.
  • Step 5
    Use 1-second pulses until the ingredients are fully combined.
  • Step 6
    Add to a serving bowl, and let the dip “chill out” in the fridge for an hour before serving.

    PLATE/PRESENT

    Garnish with chopped nuts (if using), and serve with crusty bread or crackers. Enjoy.
