I've always loved this dip, I just wanted to make my own version. So this was my crack at it and it was delicious. I will never buy it again! Eat it cold or serve it hot and bubbly -- either way, it's delicious.

This savory and creamy spinach artichoke dip is packed with artichokes. Definitely not something you'd find in the frozen food aisle. The addition of salad seasoning, lemon zest, and juice really elevate the flavors. You can tell there's lemon in every bite, but it's not overpowering. Since this can be eaten hot or cold, double the batch to bring to your next tailgate. Grab some pita or tortilla chips and dig in!

Ingredients For delicious spinach artichoke dip

  • 1 pkg
    cream cheese, softened (8 oz)
  • 1 c
  • 1 sm
    lemon, juice and zest
  • 1 Tbsp
    freeze dried salad seasoning
  • 1 1/2 c
    chopped, drained, thawed spinach
  • 1 jar
    marinated artichoke hearts, chopped (12 oz.)
  • 1/2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp
  • pinch

Test Kitchen Tips
We did add an extra sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese on top before baking ... because there can never be enough cheese. That's optional.
  • Cream cheese, mayo, lemon zest, and juice in a bowl.
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a medium bowl, cream together cream cheese, mayo, lemon zest, and juice. Cream with a hand mixer for about 30 seconds or until smooth.
  • Seasonings and spinach added.
    Add in seasoning, salt, pepper, and spinach.
  • Folding in artichokes and cheese.
    Fold with a rubber spatula. Incorporate artichoke and shredded cheese. Fold until well incorporated.
  • Spinach artichoke dip poured into a baking dish.
    Spray a baking dish (no larger than 9x9) lightly with cooking spray, then scoop the dip into the dish.
  • Spinach artichoke dip baking in the oven.
    Heat in oven for approximately 15-20 minutes or until bubbly. This is just as delicious cold! =)
