Quick and easy to make, this Mexican dish is a must have. Use it as a dip, a garnish for burgers, sandwiches or for many Mexican dishes.

Ingredients

  • 2 large avocadoes, stones removed, peeled and cut into pieces
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons seeded and finely diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped red onions
  • 2 large cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 tablespoon cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste (I always use mixed peppercorns)
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground Himalayan pink salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon hot sauce such as cholula, or to taste

How To Make classic guacamole

  • Step 1
    In a bowl, add prepared avocadoes and lime juice; mash them using a fork.
  • Step 2
    Add the remaining ingredients and stir until nicely combined; taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Step 3
    Serve immediately or cover and transfer to the fridge until needed.
