cheesy spinach artichoke dip (microwave)

This is ALWAYS a hit at my parties and OFTEN requested "just cause"

Ingredients

  • 2 packages cream cheese (not whipped) (total 16 ozs)
  • 1 - tub shredded asiago, romano or parmesan cheese (8ozs)
  • 1 box frozen chopped spinach (10 oz)
  • 1 can artichoke hearts (not marinated) (15 oz i think)
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt (i prefer kosher, it tastes better)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

How To Make cheesy spinach artichoke dip (microwave)

  • Step 1
    in a microwave safe glass bowl, place frozen spinach and microwave for 5-7 minutes
  • Step 2
    remove, stir and add artichokes and all the seasonings, microwave for 3 more minutes
  • Step 3
    remove, stir and add both pkg's of cream cheese, microwave 3 more minutes
  • Step 4
    remove, stir and add the parmesan cheese microwave until completely melted (about 3-5 minutes)
  • Step 5

    Serve with any crusty bread toasted or not (whatever you prefer) or restaurant style tortilla chips.
