Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 1/2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon real vanilla extract
- 1/2 bag miniature marshmallows
- 1/2 - 1 cups chopped nuts (optional)

Step 11. Melt butter in a saucepan or saucier (saucepan with rounded bottom - see photo) on medium high heat.

Step 22. Whisk in the cocoa powder until smooth.

Step 33. Add in the sugar and salt. Stir until both are completely dissolved.

Step 44. Add the corn syrup.

Step 55. Gradually stir in the milk. Keep stirring until the fudge sauce is thick and smooth.

Step 66. Add the vanilla.

Step 77. Stir in the marshmallows until they are melted.

Step 88. Keep stirring the mixture until it comes to a boil. Take off the heat. Add nuts if desired.

Step 99. Serve warm over ice cream and/or brownies. It will thicken as it cools. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
