This brings back so many memories of my grandmother and my mother. When we were kids and it was our birthday, our mom would make this for breakfast. No birthday present could ever match the love this treat brought to our home.

  • 3 1/4 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 3 Tbsp
  • dash
  • 2 c
  • 1 tsp
  • 2 Tbsp

How to Make Chocolate Gravy


  1. Sift dry ingredients into a medium sauce pan.
  2. Over medium heat, pour a little bit of the milk into the dry ingredients stirring constantly. Keep adding a little milk at a time until the mixture is smooth. Add all of the remaining milk.
  3. Heat, stirring constantly until the mixture starts to bubble and thicken. Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter.
  4. Serve over buttered biscuits. Yummy!
