ellen's new and improved tuna salad

I wanted something a little different from my usual tuna salad recipe, so I played with the spices a bit and came up with this delicious version. The dill weed really makes it pop! Pecans and celery give it a nice crunchy texture. 04-12-16

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (small or 1 large) white albacore tuna
  • 1/2 cup hellman's real mayonnaisse, lite
  • 1/3 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 teaspoon real lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1-2 tablespoon finely chopped pecans

How To Make ellen's new and improved tuna salad

  • Step 1
    Drain the tuna and flake it into a medium bowl. Add the mayo and blend thoroughly.
  • Step 2
    Add celery and spices and mix until completely blended. Fold in pecans.
  • Step 3
    Refrigerate for at least 1/2 hour and serve. I like to serve sweet gherkins on the side.
