dad's tuna and egg salad

ok this one is another from my husband. He makes this he has to make double batch because it will not last long. so I will write as he makes it so remember this will feed a hungry crowd.

Ingredients

  • 2 large cans of tuna in water drained well
  • 6 large hard boiled eggs cooled and peeled
  • 2 sticks of fresh celery chopped finely
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise(your preference)
  • 2 tablespoons spicey brown mustard(your preference)
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 - each,black pepper,salt, italian seasoning,basil,
  • 1/2 small bell pepper diced small(go easy on this or omit)

How To Make dad's tuna and egg salad

  • Step 1
    you will need one large and one small mixing bowl. He prefers my glass pyrex. a large mixing spoon,one knife to chop and dice. and one paring knife to slice up the eggs
  • Step 2
    in large bowl drop in the drained tuna,the celery,onion,pepper,mayo,mustard and all of the seasonings. mix well
  • Step 3
    in small bowl with small knife slice thickly your eggs, then with a fork cut up into chunks. pour all of this into your tuna and mix well.
  • Step 4
    cover with a air tight lid or tightly wrap with cling wrap and let chill for one hour. stir well and chill 30 mins more. serve on sandwiches,lettuce leaves,sliced or stuff a tomato. you can make some pasta of your choice as well and toss with the tuna salad to make a pasta tuna for church suppers or picnics
