These are sloppy but healthy & fun. I use the Country Oven hamburg buns cause they are big. If you dont have them in your area, try looking for the biggest buns at the store. You can also spread some extra Mircle Whip on the buns for extra moisture & for an extra tangy kick, you can slice up green olives & add them to the sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 1-3 can albacore tuna drained
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 medium avacado sliced
  • 2 small sweet pickles diced
  • 1 stick celery stalk diced
  • 1 medium tomato sliced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons mircle whip
  • 4 - hamburg buns
  • 8 slices tillamook sharp cheaddar cheese

How To Make california tuna salad sandwich

  • Step 1
    In a medium bowl mix: tuna, onion, mircle whip, pickles & celery
  • Step 2
    lay tomato & avacado on one side of bun & lay 2 slices of the cheddar on the other. The 1 pound loaf of Tillamook makes perfect sized slices
  • Step 3
    add tuna mix to buns & serve. NOTE: I like to drink milk with these but you can drink whatever you like :)
