Scrumptious Summer Salad! The Dressing is to Die for! Cool Crispy Crunchy Slaw. A spin on Slaw salad. Hubby says I should add cooked shrimp..He took seconds!

Ingredients For chicken macaroni slaw salad w/ slivered almonds

  • 2 md
    chicken breasts, boneless and skinless,cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 7 oz
    macaroni, cooked
  • 1/2 md
    yellow onion, diced
  • 1/2
    red bell pepper,diced
  • 1 c
    green onion, chopped
  • 16 oz
    bag coleslaw mix
  • 14 oz
    water chestnuts, chopped
  • DRESSING
  • 1-1/2 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/3 c
    red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper

How To Make chicken macaroni slaw salad w/ slivered almonds

    Cook macaroni to al dente', drain and rinse in cold water. Transfer to a large bowl; add the coleslaw mix. Toss to coat.

    Cook Chicken until no longer pink.Add in green onion, red bell pepper , water chestnuts , and onion.

    In a bowl wisk dressing ingredients. Pour over Slaw and Chicken.Toss to coat. Add Slivered Almonds to each serving, NOT to Main bowl;it may become too soggy. Chill 1 hour before serving.

    You may add diced celery, grape tomato,halved, diced cucumber too.
