My mom has been making this for as long as I remember, I tweaked it a lil, with her raves! I only make it like this if I'm having people over. Usually I mix it individual servings. And can enjoy a fresh helping the next day. Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 bag(s)
    prepackaged salad mix
  • 1 1/2 lb
    lean ground turkey
  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning mix
  • 1 can(s)
    chili beans
  • 1 can(s)
    white beans, rinsed
  • 1 c
    salsa (your heat preference)
  • 1 medium
    onion (chopped)
  • 1 pkg
    grape tomatoes (halved)
  • 8 oz
    sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 can(s)
    black olives (halved)
  • 1 bag(s)
    doritos ( broken)
  • 1 bottle
    thousand island dressing
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/3 c
    water

How to Make yummy taco salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown turkey in olive oil with onions. Add salt and pepper to meat.
  2. Add in taco seasoning,chili beans with juice, rinsed white beans,salsa and water. Let simmer for about 10 minutes. Let cool while you get the salad ready.
  3. Place salad ingredients in large bowl. Throw Doritos and cheese on top. Add your meat mixture on top. Then thousand island dressing. Mix and serve.
