1 mdcabbage, shredded

2 mdonions, thinly sliced

3/4 csugar (1 of 2)

2 Tbspsugar (2 of 2)

3/4 cvinegar

3/4 csalad oil

1 tspdry mustard

1 tspcelery seed

1 tspsugar

2 tspsalt
How To Make german ice box slaw

1Alternate layers of cabbage and onions in a salad bowl. Sprinkle with sugar.

2In a saucepan, combine vinegar, oil, mustard, 1 teaspoon sugar and salt. Heat to boiling.

3Pour over slaw and refridgerate for at least 4 hours. Keeps for a week or more. You may add more cabbage as necessary.
