This is a recipe that my aunt makes for family affairs. We all love it! It is such a change from the traditional coleslaw, and healthier than the mayo dressing that usually accompanies it! Goes well with anything that you would use coleslaw for!

method No-Cook or Other
yield 6 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 package broccoli slaw mix
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 1 package (3 oz.) sunflower seeds
  • 1 package (2 oz.) slivered almonds
  • 1 package beef ramen noodles
  • 3/4 cup oil (i use vegetable)
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sugar

How To Make different slaw

  • Step 1
In a large bowl, with a lid, mix together the cole slaw mix, sliced green onions, sunflower seeds, slivered almonds, and ramen noodles (broken up and flavor packet set aside). Set this aside.
  • Step 2
In a smaller bowl, or I use a shaker-type bottle, mix together oil, vinegar, sugar and the beef flavor packet from the ramen noodles. Mix well.
  • Step 3
Pour dressing over slaw and mix well. Chill in refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours or overnight (I overnight it!). Mix well, again, before serving.
