This salad is a version of the one my Gram always made and dearly loved as kids...I switched up the dressing to my families liking...hers was good, but she'd really be proud of mine...this salad is so simple yet the flavors are delicious...I always make the dressing the night before...gives the flavors time to mesh...I hope you like it as much as we do!

Ingredients

  • DRESSING

  • 1/2 c
    each - miracle whip salad dressing & ranch dressing
  • 2 Tbsp
    1 heaping - grated parmesan
  • about
    10 grinds of fresh black pepper
  • 1 tsp
    rice wine vinegar or could use your favorite
  • pinch
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    milk
  • SALAD

  • 8 slice
    bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 1/3 c
    red onion, chopped small
  • 1 small
    head of each - cauliflower, cut into flourets - broccoli cut into flourets
  • 5 - 6 c
    romaine lettuce or your favorite
  • salt
    & pepper to taste when serving

How to Make Family Favorite Broc Cauliflower Bacon Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all dressing ingredients together well with a whisk. Refrigerate for a few hours or best is overnight.
  2. When ready to serve toss all salad ingredients together. Pour on the dressing, toss and serve immediately.
  3. Delish!
