My mom made this when I was growing up... I always loved it! It's an OLD recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1 package lemon jello
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 ounces cream cheese
  • 8 ounces miniature marshmallows
  • 1 - small can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup whipping cream, whipped or 2 cups cool whip or dream whip
  • 2 packages cherry or strawberry jello
  • 2 cups water

How To Make velvet salad

  • Step 1
    Combine first four ingredients in saucepan and dissolve over low heat. Let cool to room temp. Fold in pineapple and whipped cream. Pour into 9 x 13 pan and refrigerate until firm. Prepare red jello and 2 cups water per package directions. Refrigerate until cool and jello starts to get thick. Pour over first layer and refrigerate at least 3 hours or overnight.
