This is a traditional Passover recipe but is delicious anytime.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

Traditionally served at Passover seder, we had never tried charoset before and fell in love. The apples and honey are sweet with a slight hint of cinnamon. Sweet red wine is not overpowering, it almost adds a light tanginess to the fruit. Walnuts and raisins are the perfect complements to the apples. We tried this with Matzo crackers and loved the savory crackers with the sweet fruit mixture. Make sure to prepare this ahead of time. It's even better after chilling for a few hours.
