twisted tuna salad

Make as much or as little as you want is the theme of Twisted Tuna Salad. It is my go to light meal any day of the year for myself or with family and friends. Presentation is beautiful with all the colors of fresh veggies and fruit (add Strawberries, Grapes and/or Blueberries) and your protein can be switched to your favorite; Chicken, Beef, Grilled Fish, Hard Boiled Egg. Fresh Lemon as your dressing is refreshing or try Red Wine Vinegarette, Balsamic Vinegar or your choice.

Ingredients For twisted tuna salad

  • 1/2 can can
    solid white tuna
  • 1 md
    green apple chopped
  • 1/2 c
    diced cucumber
  • 1 or 2 stick
    diced carrots
  • 1 or more Tbsp
    chopped red onion
  • 1 or 2... c
    fresh spinach
  • 1 sm
    lemon fresh

How To Make twisted tuna salad

  • 1
    Drain and rinse the Tuna or other protein choice (you might have to cook prior).

    Wash all Fruit(s) thoroughly and chop.
  • 3
    Wash all Vegetables thoroughly and dice.
  • 4
    Toss the tuna, vegetables (except Spinach) and fruit(s) well in a separate bowl. This is the Tuna Mixture.

    Place the spinach onto a plate and gently pour over Tuna mixture on top.
  • 6
    Plated Presentation is what makes this meal even more appealing especially if you're watching your calories.

    Place the lemon on the side of the plated dish or your other choice of dressing in a small individual bowl.
