Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
- 1 - clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups halved pear tomatoes
- 4 - medium tomatoes,cut into 1/2-inch wedges
- 6 - large fresh basil leaves,cut into slender ribbons

Step 1For the vinaigrette,whisk together the vinegar, mustard,garlic,salt,and pepper in a small bowl.

Step 2Add the oil in a slow stream,whisking until the dressing is emulsified

Step 3Place tomatoes in a large serving bowl.

Step 4Pour the vinaigrette over the tomatoes,add the basil, and toss gently to mix well and coat evenly.

Step 5Let set for 30 minutes before serving.
