1 c
red lentils
1/2 c
colorful grape tomatoes cut in 1/4's
1/2 small
red onion, chopped
1 Tbsp
1 Tbsp
italian parsley, chopped
1 Tbsp
mediterranean spice blend
1/2 small
habanero pepper, finely chopped


1/4 c
tbsp extra virgin olive oil
juice & zest of 1 lemon
garlic clove, grated
smoked sea salt to taste

How to Make Spicy Hana's Red Lentil Salad


  • 1Add lentils and bay leaf to 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes or until lentils are tender. Remove drain and cool.
  • 2Meanwhile, in a jar with a tight fitting lid, combine olive oil, lemon juice, zest, garlic and salt. Cover and shake until well blended. Add lentils and remaining ingredients to a mixing bowl. Pour vinaigrette in bowl and mix well. Transfer to a salad bowl and cover. Chill for at least 1 hour temperature. Bring to room temperature before serving.
