This recipe has been in my husband's family for many years. His mom shared the recipe with me before she passed. It has been one of my favorites ever since. Our entire family loves this recipe. This recipe is also in my cookbook. Has been a proven winner whenever we have company, and I make and serve this. I hope you like it too.

Ingredients For sour cream and chive cucumbers

4 csour cream
-
1/4- 1/2 tspgranulated garlic powder

1/2 csugar (or Splenda)

1 tspdill, more if desired

1 Tbspdried chives, or use 2-3 Tbsp fresh

1 dashblack or white pepper
-
2 bunchgreen onions, chopped
-
4 - 6 lgcucumbers
-
additional chives and/or green onions, for garnish
How To Make sour cream and chive cucumbers

1Blend sour cream, garlic powder, sugar (or Splenda), dill, chives, black pepper, and chopped green onions until well mixed.

2Peel and thinly slice the cucumbers. Place them in a large mixing bowl.

3Add the sour cream mixture to the cucumbers.

4Mix well.

5Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.

6Garnish with chopped chives or green onion tops.
