Ingredients
- 5 cups finely shredded cabbage
- 2 medium apples
- 1 small carrot
- 1 teaspoon minced onion
- 1 teaspoon minced dill or parsley
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
How To Make russian cole slaw

Step 1Sprinkle the shredded cabbage with salt and let stand 15 minutes, then scald for 3 minutes. Drain well and dry in a towel.

Step 2Chop the apples very fine or grate them on a coarse grater. Grate the carrot.

Step 3Mix all the ingredients together and let stand 30 minutes on ice (or in refrigerator) before serving.
