- medium head of cabbage
- juice of 1 lemon
- salt & pepper
- olive oil
- sugar to taste
How to Make Red Cabbage- Polish Salad
- 1Boil a pot of water. Shred cabbage.
Throw shredded cabbage into the boiling water. When water boils again, drain and allow cabbage to dry off.
Sprinkle with lemon juice to restore the bright red color. Chill.
An hour before serving, add sugar to taste, salt & pepper, and several Tablespoons of olive oil.
Mix and taste.
