moe's slaw
A co-worker named, Moe, made this slaw over 20 years ago at a work luncheon. It has become very popular since then. I attribute this slaw to him :-)

Ingredients
- 1 medium head cabbage
- 1 bunch scallions (green onions)
- 6 ounces slivered almonds
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 package ramen chicken flavored noodles (not cooked)
- DRESSING INGREDIENTS
- 3 tablespoons white vinegar
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 - chicken flavor packet from ramen noodles
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- ***PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES***
How To Make moe's slaw

Step 1Toast almonds and sesame seeds on a cookie sheet in a preheated 350 degree oven for 10-15 minutes. Stir every 3 minutes or so. Do not let burn.

Step 2Using a food processor, shred cabbage and scallions. Place in a large bowl.

Step 3Mix oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and flavor packet together. Place in a jar with lid or a salad dressing mixing container. Make sure to mix well right before dressing slaw. (Do not use until right before serving to keep ingredients crisp and crunchy)

Step 4Crush the uncooked noodles and mix in slaw with the almonds and sesame seeds when ready to serve. Pour dressing on top and mix well.
