Even the grandkids go back for seconds of this sweet and sour cold veggie salad. I have no idea where the original recipe came from; it's been a staple in my family for years.

frozen mixed vegetables
1 can(s)
kidney beans
2 c
chopped celery
onion, chopped fine
1 1/2 c
2 Tbsp
1 c
white vinegar

How to Make Mixed Vegetable Salad


  • 1cook vegetables according to package directions, drain and cool
  • 2heat sugar, flour and vinegar to a boil, remove from heat and cool
  • 3wash kidney beans and drain
  • 4mix together vegetables, beans, celery and onions
  • 5pour vinegar/sugar mixture over vegetables, toss to coat and refrigerate at least one hour before serving
