mississippi cornbread salad

This was given to me by a dear friends many moon ago.It is a little different but it make for a good salad. So I hope you like it. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ingredients

  • 1 box jiffy cornbread, mix,bake,according to pkg.
  • 1 package ranch style dressing mix
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 large tomatoes,chopped or 1 can diced
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper or green bell,chopped
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green onions,chopped
  • 2-------16 ounces pinto beans, drained
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 10 slices bacon,cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cans whole kernal corn, drained

How To Make mississippi cornbread salad

  • Step 1
    Stir together salad dressing mix, sour cream, and mayonnaise until blended; set aside.
  • Step 2
    Combine tomatoes, bell peppers, and onions, gently toss.
  • Step 3
    Crumble half the cornbread into a 3 quart trifle bowl or a large salad bowl.
  • Step 4
    Top with half each of beans, tomato mixture, cheese, bacon, corn, and dressing mixture. Repeat layers. Cover and chill 3 hours.
