This slaw is great for that cook out or just about any get together. Make hamburgers and use the slaw for the vegetables on the burger yummy yummy.

Ingredients

1/4 c
butter
1/2 c
chopped onions
8 c
coarsely shredded red caggage
1 Tbsp
lemon juice
1 Tbsp
caraway seed
1 tsp
salt
1 c
sour cream
1/4 c
vinegar
1 c
orange sections

NOTE; WHEN A RECIPE CALLS FOR VINEGAR IT IS USELY WHITE UNLESS IT CALLS FOR CIDER VINEGAR

How to Make JANET'S RED HOT CABBAGE SLAW

Step-by-Step

  • 1Melt butter in skillet saute onion until tender.
  • 2Stir in cabbage, lemon juice, caraway seed, and salt. Heat stirring occasionally for 5 minutes.
  • 3Cover cook over low heat stirring occasionally for 10 minutes longer or until cabbage is tender.
  • 4Combine sour cream and vinegar stir into cabbage.
  • 5Add orange sections heat to serving temperature. Yield 6 servings
