My mother used to make this recipe to get my father to eat cottage cheese as a way to get calcium. It worked not just for him but for us too. She named it "Green Cottage Cheese", and it stuck. We've had this at every family gathering since Mom first made it in 1970.

Ingredients

  • 1 package pudding, pistachio
  • 4 ounces sour cream, fat-free
  • 24 ounces cottage cheese, lowfat
  • 15 ounces pineapple, crushed
  • 8 ounces whipped topping, thawed

How To Make green cottage cheese

  • Step 1
    Mix the first three ingredients together.
  • Step 2
    Make sure the crushed pineapple is drained well.
  • Step 3
    Fold in the pineapple then the whipped topping.
  • Step 4
    Chill and serve.
