  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    pomegranate molasses
  • 1/3 c
    onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp
    crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp
    sumac (optional)
  • ·
    salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 medium
    tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 c
    flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/3 c
    walnuts, chopped
  • 1 c
  • 1/2 c
    pomegranate seeds

How to Make Gavurdagi Salad


  1. In a small glass, mix oil and pomegranate molasses until blended. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the chopped onions with the spices and seasoning.
  3. Add the tomatoes, parsley and walnuts to the onions. Add the oil mixture and toss gently.
  4. Stir in the watercress and combine well.
    Sprinkle pomegranate seeds over the salad and serve.
