Wanted to use up a bag of tomatos my husband brought home from a co-worker, so i put together what i had. Makes it's own "dressing" that would be good on a lettuce salad or even added to pasta for a fresh pasta salad. I chose to leave out salt, but you may want to add some.

Ingredients

  • 4 - 5 large tomatos
  • 1/2 - red or green bell pepper
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 1/2 - lemon
  • 1/4 cup fat-free italian dressing
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon seasoned pepper

How To Make fresh tomato salad

  • Step 1
Core tomatos and cut into 1/2 - 1 inch pieces. Put in medium bowl. Add diced bell pepper (1/4 inch pieces). Chop green onions (use all, green and white), add to bowl. Squeeze lemon half over all. Sprinkle onion powder and seasoned pepper over all. In a small bowl stir mayonnaise and add italian dressing, stirring to mix well. Pour on top of everything, and using a folding motion stir all together. Tastes best when eaten immediately, but refrigerate if to be made ahead of time.
