four bean salad

The recipie is an old one. My Grandmother Lee used to make this when I was a kid, only she used fresh beans out out the garden, canned kidney and garbanzo's for the others.

Ingredients

  • 1 can kidney beans, rinsed
  • 1 can waxed beans (yellow)
  • 1 can green beans not french cut
  • 1 can garbanzo beans (chick peas), rinsed
  • 1/2 small onion, sliced thin ,then cut in half
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons green or sweet red pepper diced
  • 2/3 cup vinegar, white or apple cider
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup vegtable oil

How To Make four bean salad

  • Step 1
    Wisk dressing ingredients together to dissolve sugar.
  • Step 2
    Pour over beans, refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving. Stir occasionally.
