This is my sister's Slaw she makes for family events. We all love it. I'm moving out of state for work soon and I talked her into giving it to me. I love the blend of crasins and sunflower seeds! Also, feel free to add any veggies you have and need to use. it's a very tasty and adaptable slaw. Enjoy!

  • 1 pkg
    broccoli slaw mix
  • 1/2 c
    diced onion
  • 1 c
    broccoli florets, in small bite size pieces
  • 1/2 c
    sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 c
    crasins, diced
  • 1/2 c
    any fresh veggies you have and want to use, such as cucumbers, carrots, red or yellow bell peppers, raddish, etc
  • 1 c
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    fresh ground pepper
  • 2 tsp
    sugar or 1/2 sugar and 1/2 spenda
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice plus zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 Tbsp
    apple cider vinegar (more to taste)

How to Make Evelyn's Broccoli Slaw


  1. Whisk together mayo, salt, pepper, sugar, lemon juice and zest, and vinegar.
  2. Toss over veggies. Refrigerate for like 2 hours covered. Enjoy!
