1/2 c
chopped black olives
1 Tbsp
2 small
onions, thinly sliced
1 can(s)
(14.5 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2 Tbsp
olive oil
1/2 c
chopped fresh parsley

How to Make Bacalhau Chickpea Salad


  • 1Wash and soak the cod in a bowl of water. Change the water 3 times over the course of 8-10 hours.
  • 2In a saucepan, add the cod and water. Bring the water to a boil 1-2 minutes. Drain the water and tear the bacalhau into small pieces.
  • 3In a large bowl add the pieces of bacalhau along with the rest of the ingredients. Toss the ingredients together well and serve, room temperature, or chill and serve cold.
