smoky thousand island dressing

Thousand Island dressing was a take it or leave it option for me until I tried this smoky & spicy version. This is now my go to dressing for Reuben sandwiches and Chef Salads.

Ingredients

  • 1 - hard boiled egg
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 3 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons dill relish
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoons chipotle chilies in adobo, very finely minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper

How To Make smoky thousand island dressing

  • Step 1
    Mash hard-boiled egg with fork in a small bowl into very small crumbly pieces.
  • Step 2
    Stir in remaining dressing ingredients.
  • Step 3
    Chill until serving.
