Thousand Island dressing was a take it or leave it option for me until I tried this smoky & spicy version. This is now my go to dressing for Reuben sandwiches and Chef Salads.

Ingredients

  • 1
    hard boiled egg
  • 1/2 c
    mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp
    milk
  • 3 Tbsp
    chili sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    dill relish
  • 1 Tbsp
    finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    finely chopped onion
  • 2 tsp
    chipotle chilies in adobo, very finely minced
  • 1/4 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    cracked black pepper

How to Make Smoky Thousand Island Dressing

Step-by-Step

  1. Mash hard-boiled egg with fork in a small bowl into very small crumbly pieces.
  2. Stir in remaining dressing ingredients.
  3. Chill until serving.
