My Mom and I love pea salad. I was having a hard time finding a recipe that tasted great. I found one that came close and I asked my aunt for her recipe. I took each recipe and then came up with my own version!

  • 1 pkg
    lettuce shreds (small size)
  • 2 1/2 oz
    package of real bacon pieces
  • 28 oz
    package frozen sweet peas, thawed
  • 1/2
    green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2
    red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2
    boiled eggs, chopped
  • 2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 c
  • 1/4 c
    granulated sugar

How to Make Sara's Tasty Pea Salad


  1. In a large bowl, mix together lettuce, bacon pieces, peas, cheese, green pepper, onion, and eggs.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and sugar. Mayonnaise will be thin and more liquefied.
  3. Pour mayonnaise into bowl with other ingredients. Stir until well combined. Can serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve to let the flavors mingle together.
