This is a recipe I learned (or stole) from my wife. The nuts and Ramen noodles give it a great "crunch."

Great crunch, indeed! This simple salad has terrific flavors and texture. It would be great to serve alongside most any dish, or on its own as a meal. The Test Kitchen

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • 1 c
    pecans, chopped
  • 1 pkg
    ramen noodles, crushed
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1
    bunch broccoli
  • 1
    head romaine lettuce
  • 4
    green onions and stems
  • 1 c
    oil
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    red wine vinegar
  • 3 tsp
    soy sauce
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Romaine Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown first three ingredients and set aside to drain on paper towel.
  2. Chop broccoli, lettuce and green onions.
  3. Mix oil, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, salt and pepper.
  4. Mix all ingredients together just before serving.
