Nice tasty salad that can be made ahead of time

    head of lettuce chopped
  • 1/2 c
    green pepper chopped
  • 1
    red onion sliced
  • 8 slice
    bacon (fried and crumbled)2
  • 1/2 c
    ribs of celery, chopped
  • 1 pkg
    frozen peas thawed
  • 1 pt
    jar hellman's mayonnaise
  • 12 oz
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 Tbsp

How to Make Make Ahead Layer Salad


  1. Layer lettuce, green pepper, celery, frozen peas and red onion
  2. Spread mayonnaise on top; sprinkle sugar evenly over mayonnaise
  3. Layer cheddar cheese; refrigerate 8 t0 24 hours before serving; place last layer of bacon on before serving so it is crisp.
