My Son-in-law loves this salad. I always double it when I know he's going to be at the dinner table. That way I know there will be some leftovers for him! This is one of those salads that tastes even better on the second day.

Ingredients

  • 1 small head cauliflower, cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 small head of lettuce, torn into bite size pieces
  • 1 small purple onion, diced
  • 1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

How To Make layered cauliflower salad

  • Step 1
    Layer lettuce*, cauliflower and onion in a 3 qt. bowl.
  • Step 2
    Mix the mayonaise, sugar, and milk together and spread evenlyh over top, sealing to the edge of the bowl.
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle bacon and parmesan cheese over the mayonaise mixture.
  • Step 4
    Garnish with a little more chopped lettuce and onion for additional color. Cover salad tightly and refrigerate for at least 12 hours
  • Step 5
    NOTE: After washing the lettuce make sure it is very dry.
