Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup canola or light olive oil
  • 1/2 cup sweet onion , chopped or vidalia (when in season)
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey

How To Make honey onion vinaigrette

  • Step 1
    Place one Tablespoon of oil in saucepan and heat over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and cook stirring frequently until browned and caramelized, about 5 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Pour in cider vinegar and stir well to loosen bits on bottom of pan.
  • Step 3
    Pour entire contents into blender. Add remaining oil. Blend on high for two minutes until well blended. Refrigerate several hours before serving.
