Our grandmother passed away earlier this year 2022 and the Altar Rosary Society has put together a beautiful dinner following her burial. One of the things that stood out to me was the dressing on the salad. It was light and full of flavor. I thanked the ladies for the wonderful meal they prepared and asked for the recipe. It didn't have a name so I call it Funeral Dressing.

Ingredients For funeral dressing

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/3 c
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
    finely grated sweet onion
  • 1 c
    canola oil

How To Make funeral dressing

  • 1
    Add all ingredients to a pint mason jar or shaker and blend until opaque. Dress salad and serve immediately.

    That's it, simple and light dressing. Refrigerate any leftovers.
