- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 quart shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup chopped grn or red pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 jar pimentos (if desired)
- 3 - ribs of celery--chopped fine
- 1 teaspoon mustard seed

Step 1BRING TO BOIL: SUGAR, WATER, MUSTARD SEED, VINEGAR MAKE THIS THE DAY BEFORE SERVING. COOL & REFRIGERATE OVER NIGHT

Step 2SOAK 1 QT. SHREDDED CABBAGE, GRN OR RED PEPPERS, TSP SALT IN 2 C COLD WATER FOR 2 HRS. DRAIN WELL. ADD PIMENTOS IF DESIRED, CHOPPED CELERY.

Step 3POUR COLD LIQUID OVER ALL THE NEXT DAY KEEPS FOR SEVERAL DAYS
