This salad is one crazy delicious combo; fresh veggies (lettuce, carrots, red cabbage and tomatoes,) ham, avocado and my beloved kalamata olives topped with Caesar dressing, bacon and herb croutons. It's a quick and easy meal in a bowl. I could eat this every day of the week! Yum!

Ingredients

  • SALAD LAYERS
  • 4 to 5 cups torn fresh lettuce (any combo of iceberg, romaine, butter, red leaf)
  • 1-2 baby c - baby carrots, sliced paper thin
  • 1-2 tablespoon shredded/chopped fresh red cabbage
  • 1 to 2 slices ham lunch meat, diced
  • 2 to 4 - cherry or grape tomatoes, quartered
  • 5 or 6 - pitted kalamata olives, sliced in 1/3's
  • 1/2 - hard boiled egg, chopped, sliced or wedges (optional)
  • 1/2 - ripe avocado, diced
  • DRESSING & TOPPINGS
  • 2 to ? tablespoons caesar dressing, your fave (i like wishbone brand)
  • 1 tablespoon smoked bacon bits (not imitation bacon)
  • 1/3 cup herb seasoned croutons

How To Make crazy chef caesar salad

  • Step 1
    Layer first ingredients (salad layer) into a large, individual serving salad bowl, in order listed.
  • Step 2
    Drizzle with your choice of Caesar dressing.
  • Step 3
    Distribute real bacon bits and croutons over top right before serving. Serve cold.
  • Step 4
    May assemble salad layers (excluding avocado,) cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before serving.
