pear and gorgonzola salad
This is a riff on a salad I make from the Joy of Cooking.

Ingredients
- 4 cups leafy green and red lettuces ( baby mixed greens work well)
- 1 - red anjou pear
- 1/4 - c. chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar or rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 - scallion chopped
- - pinch red pepper
- - salt and pepper
- 1/4 c - crumbled gorgonzola
How To Make pear and gorgonzola salad

Step 1Make dressing ahead of time using ingredients from cider vinegar. Shake in a jar. keep in fridge. you can even make it the day before. It's better that way.

Step 2Just before serving. Mix greens and sliced pears with dressing and top with walnuts. Serve immediately. you will not need all the dressing but it keeps for several days..
