MariLou's Cranberry Sauce

Patty Conary

My Mom, MariLou, made this every Thanksgiving and Christmas. We all loved it and every bite reminds us of her. It's great with your turkey dinner or as a side with pork or chicken. I even make turkey sandwiches with it.

How to Make MariLou's Cranberry Sauce

  1. Wash all the raw fresh ingredients (apple, orange, celery, cranberries) and remove the core/seeds from the apple and orange. Do not remove the peel from either fruit.
  2. Use a food processor or chop the cranberries, apple, orange and celery into small dice. Make sure to keep all the juice. Chop the pecan into small pieces as well.
  3. Add the box of jello powder and sugan to the raw ingredients and mix. You may want to add more sugar to taste depending on how tart you like your cranberries. Pour into bowl or mold and refrigerate.
